Empire of the Sun | Alive

I posted Empire of the Sun’s latest super-catchy single a few weeks back, as well as the album teaser, but forgot to put up the official video for “Alive”. The clip builds on the teaser, with the band dressed as outrageous godlike figures who are hanging around in the desert singing and dancing and looking serious, as gods often do. 

Their sophomore album Ice on the Dune is out June 18th.

Capital Cities | Safe and Sound

“Safe and Sound”, the excellent single from LA based Capital Cities, has been on my iPod for ages, but now it finally has a fantastic video companion (seriously, one of the best I have posted this year). 

The clip goes through the history off dance in what must be the most epic dance-off of all time. And props to those behind editing this one, because it’s very, very cleverly done.

Young Galaxy | Pretty Boy

“Pretty Boy”, the first single off YG’s latest album Ultramarine is exactly the kind of slick synth-pop I’ve always enjoyed from these guys, but their lyrics are reaching profound new heights here. 

So find your pretty boy and get ready to dance. 

Aw, this guy’s videos are some of my favorite ever on the internet and always bring a huge smile to my face from start to finish. I didn’t realize he had a new one out from last year, and it’s just as awesome as his past ones.

Lemaitre | Continuum

Norwegian electro group Lemaitre has put a clip out for their latest single “Continuum” of the freshly released EP Relativity 3. The video is standard concert, dancing fare, but the song certainly makes you wish you were there vs sitting at home. 

Matt & Kim | It’s Alright

The New York indie duo Matt & Kim have released a fun new clip for “It’s Alright” from last year’s Lightning. The video stars the two band mates and real life couple performing an elaborate synchronized bed-dancing routine (is that a thing?) that is both impressive and a little bit sexy.

Astro | Panda (NSFW)

Instead of being bummed it’s Monday, why not get up and shake your ass like these brave souls in the video for “Panda” from Chilean band Astro. Since the entire video is simply the entrancing sight of bare bottoms shaking at varying intensities, the video is highly NSFW. Otherwise, click play and enjoy! 

Bat For Lashes | Lillies

Natasha Khan is back, wearing barely nothing again, in the video for The Haunted Man opener “Lillies”, where she dances together with a group of creepy but seemingly friendly monsters and a host of other animated creatures. It looks like she had fun making this one, and it’s fun to watch, too.

MAN LIKE ME | Sleaze

Camden boys Johnny Langer and Peter Duffy make up MAN LIKE ME, and they are filled with a crazy-go-nuts energy that just crackles in everything they do. “Sleaze” is from their upcoming album Pillow Talk (out March 3rd)
