Here’s the latest from love-her-or-hate-her princess of quirky-cute Zooey Deschanel and singer-songwriter M. Ward, off their recently released album Volume 3. 

It’s a fun song and unsurprisingly the video is both cute and quirky. But hey, that ‘aint a bad thing! 

Sigur Ros | Ég anda

The 5th video in the Mystery Film Experiment (where Sigur Ros put a different song from their album in the hands of filmmakers, gave them a modest budget and let them go at it) 

Images of animals? Cute. Images of urban scenery? Cool, I guess. Images of both, mixed together to Sigur Ros music? Epic. But a bit sad, too. I hope that fish was OK! 

Willy Moon | Yeah Yeah

Well, this is an acid trip. But those pounding “Yeahs” are awesome, and I’m undecided whether Mr. Moon is charmingly cute here or freaky. Maybe a pinch of both 

Nizlopi | JCB

Remembered this song just now while reading and coming across mention of a JCB. And years later it’s still just as charming. 

Alphabeat | Vacation

I love how happy they always look when performing. Stine and Anders (the lead female and male respectively) both have such contagious spunk and are just generally adorable. 

p.s. Speaking of vacation, I’ve been a bit MIA from Tumblr the last couple of weeks due to traveling around Japan with my mom and aunt. It’s been a tremendous time, but has left little room for musical rabbit trails.

Kermit the Frog and Bret McKenzie sing the opening song to the upcoming Muppets movie, and it’s predictably, charmingly cute.

North Highlands - “Benefits”

Something about lead singer Brenda Malvini here is so…mesmerizing. But, other than finding myself attracted to her and not minding that this video is essentially 3+ minutes of staring at her being cute, this is a great song.

Good friends, good memories and PUPPIES. What more could you need in a video, or in life for that matter.

The concept for this video delivers a 1-2 punch of emotions, ranging from heartache to warm fuzzies. And I can’t believe this is the first I’m hearing of Young’s powerful vocals, which are apparently quite popular across the pond in the U.K.
